1. Searching

You do not need to register to view any of the adverts placed on RoomAds.co.uk. You are not required to pay a fee for viewing or responding to any advert - it's free.

Looking for a room to rent?

Select Latest Rooms To Let (on the Quick Search menu) OR select Find me a Room (main page).
To place your advert: Click here.

Looking to let your room?

To place your advert: Click here.
Select Latest Rooms Wanted (on the Quick Search menu) OR select Find me a Tenant (main page).

Latest Rooms To Let or Latest Rooms Wanted Search Results: To see the full details of a particular advert, you need to select the '...more' button.

2. Searching - Advanced Search

Use the Advanced Search feature on the Quick Search menu to refine and speed up your search.

Example: I need a double room in Battersea in London, maximum rent £120pw:
Accommodation Type - select 'Double Room' in the To Let category
County - select 'Greater London'
City or Town - select 'Battersea'
Rent per week 'To £' - enter '120'

Alternatively, you could view ALL the available rooms in London:
County - select 'Greater London'
City or Town - do NOT make a selection, or if you have made a previous selection then re-select the heading 'City or Town'

You can list alphabetically (A to Z) by selecting 'Order Results By: Ad City or Town' to quickly see what is available in your other preferred areas.

No rooms immediately available in your preferred area?
Save your search - select 'Add Search to FREE Email Alert!' - and the Email Alert! service will automatically notify you of any new suitable matches. See Email Alert! below for further information.

3. Contact Advertiser

You like what you see! You would like to arrange a viewing or request more details? To email the advertiser direct, click the link 'Contact advertiser', which is found at the top of each particular advert.

If you experience any difficulties in contacting the advertiser, then please Contact us, stating the Ad ID number, e.g. Ad ID: 6250 (see top of advert).

4. Favourites

This is a very useful feature, as you can shortlist any rooms of interest that you find when browsing. Simply click on 'Add to My List' when viewing the particular advert. You will need to register to use this service (as basically you need your own account to store the information).

5. Email Alert!

Set up your Email Alert! and get adverts that match your criteria emailed direct to your Inbox AS SOON AS they appear on the RoomAds site. Saves time, and you will not miss out if your ideal flatshare becomes available seconds after you log off! You will need to register to use this service.

6. Place New Advert

It's easy! All you need to do is Register (new user) or Login (existing member), and then follow the online instructions. After you submit your advert for validation we will ensure it goes live ASAP.

7. Register

You need your own 'account' if you want to Place an Advert, use Email Alert! or Favourites features. New to RoomAds? Click here to Register… or see link on the LHS menu.

8. TIP: Scrolling

When scrolling counties and towns in the Quick Search menu, enter the first letter of your required county or town to speed up your scrolling!

Example: If you want 'Wiltshire' click on the pull down list for 'County' and enter the letter 'W'. This will not take you exactly to Wiltshire admittedly but will save you time.
